Astrological Prediction : IPL 2023

(Note- Please read the comment mentioned below to know the reason for the prediction not coming to fruition)

The IPL 2023 carnival is all set to start in India on March 31. Every fan is eagerly waiting to know who is going to lift the IPL title. Using the power of astrology, let us find out the winner. This article will also talk about what the future holds for the IPL teams beyond 2023.

Shane Warne won the inaugural IPL title for RR. Adam Gilchrist, MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, David Warner, and Hardik Pandya are the only other captains who have won the IPL so far. Let’s understand the reasons why only these captains managed to win IPL titles.

In a team sport, the captain holds the key. If the captain is weak astrologically, that team will not go on to win the IPL. Let me compare World Cup winners across sports, film, and music industries to give you an idea.

1981 - Magic of Uranus (Nascent exaltation):

1981 was a magical year. Uranus had just entered nascent exaltation in the zodiac sign Scorpio. This is a rare phenomenon. Some of the greats were born. MS Dhoni went on to win the World Cup for India after 28 years. Another legend was Roger Federer. He went on to clinch 20 grand slams.

Serena Williams, another 1981-born legend, notched up 23 grand slams.

Iker Casillas (1981) won the 2010 FIFA World Cup for Spain. Michael Clarke (1981) won the 2015 Cricket World Cup, which was held in Australia. This clearly shows it’s not a coincidence.

When we look at the music industry, Beyonce Knowles (1981) ended up becoming one of the world’s greatest pop icons.

1986/87 – Magic of Uranus (Deepest exaltation):

The next magical year is 1986/87. Uranus was in deep exaltation during 1986–1987 in the Scorpio sign. There was a huge event that happened in 1986 that the entire world witnessed in despair: the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster. It was caused by Uranus entering deep exaltation in the Scorpio sign. But with this disaster, legends were also born. Eoin Morgan, Aaron Finch, David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Ravichandran Ashwin, Lionel Messi, Andy Murray, Hugo Lloris, and many more were all born in the year 1986/87.

Eoin Morgan went on to win the ICC's 2019 CWC. Hugo Lloris, the France captain, created history after winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup. So it didn’t come as a surprise to me when Eoin Morgan (1986) won the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup by the narrowest of margins.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup was recently won by Lionel Messi (1987) in Doha.

Karthiki Gonsalves (1986) recently won the Oscar for her documentary ‘Elephant Whisperers’ which is a lifetime achievement award.

1990 - Power of Pluto in Scorpio:

Pluto just entered its own house scorpio after 250 years in 1990.

Heather Knight was born in 1990 and created history after winning the women’s ICC Cricket World Cup in 2017. Kane Williamson (1990) won the first World Test Championship in 2021.Ellyse Perry (1990) has been called the Golden Girl of Australian sports. She played both football and cricket and ended up becoming a legend.

Jos Buttler (1990), who is a dynamic batter, went on to win the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022.

Karthik Aryan (1990) has become a big superstar with some major hits. He is destined to become a big star in the Bollywood circuit without a doubt.

Canadian musician Weeknd (1990) has turned out to be a huge popstar in recent times. His single ‘Blinding Lights" has been one of his finest works so far.

1992-94 – (Deepest exaltation of Neptune)

Neptune was in deep exaltation, and Pluto was in its own house during the period 1992–94. Hence, greats were born and have already taken centre stage.

Meg Lanning (1992) has won five ICC tournaments as captain. That is an astounding number of titles for the Australian women’s captain. She had the luxury of having the best women’s cricket team ever assembled in the history of world cricket astrologically speaking.

Hardik Pandya, Rovman Powell, and Aston Turner all were born in the same year 1993 and went on to win league titles for their respective franchises in the same year 2022. Travis Head (1993) has also won a BBL title in the past. It was a bit surprising that he wasn’t picked by any IPL team this year.

Famous Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt (1993) has also achieved greatness in her short career.

Marc Márquez (1993) has bagged multiple MotoGP championships, which helped him get his much-deserved legendary status.

Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu (1994) won the silver medal in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.

1997 – (Planet-X in Deep exaltation)

The last quarter of 1997 has produced a lot of sports superstars due to the Mars-Venus conjunction and other strong planetary placements that support sports people. Due to Planet X's deep exaltation in the capricorn zodiac, these people can achieve extraordinary things at a very young age.

Rishabh Pant (1997) has been one of the most prominent cricketers born in this period. Neptune's debilitation made him go through a horrific car accident recently. Expect Sarfaraz Khan (1997) and Mehidy Hasan Miraj (1997) from Bangladesh to follow the same footsteps and become greats in world cricket.

Naomi Osaka (1997) has won around four tennis grand slams at a young age.

Neeraj Chopra (1997) won a gold medal in the recently concluded Olympics. Lovlina Borgohain (1997) and Ravi Kumar Dahiya (1997) also won bronze and silver medals in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Max Verstappen (1997) has already won two F1 championships. Expect him to win many more. Charles Leclerc (1997) could also sneak in a couple of F1 championships along the way.

Alaya F (1997) has the potential to become a legendary Bollywood actress in the future.

Let’s discuss the teams which don’t have any chances to win the IPL 2023

1.  Chennai Super Kings (MS Dhoni, 1981)

MS Dhoni is one of the greatest captains in the history of Indian cricket. He has won several titles, including the IPL, the Champions Trophy, and the World Cup. However, as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." MS Dhoni has achieved everything that was meant to be achieved, and he cannot win any more titles as captain. The 2021 champions CSK, led by the legendary captain MS Dhoni, will have turbulent times going ahead in the IPL. CSK should appoint a captain born in the early 1990s to have any chance of winning future IPLs. If Ravindra Jadeja is appointed as captain, CSK’s legacy will go downhill in the upcoming IPL. Even Ruturaj Gaikwad isn’t an ideal candidate to get them a title going forward. Deepak Chahar (1992-born) is the only player who can bag a title in the future for the franchise if he is made the captain instead of Jadeja. They also need to offload players born in the 1980s and replace them with players born in the 1990s. Don’t be surprised if this team will be remembered like the great WI team of the 1970s after a few years due to a trophy drought. The stocks of this team will go downhill if the future captain has a weak horoscope.

Player to watch out for:

Devon Conway (1991): Blackcaps southpaw has an incredible horoscope with Pluto in its own house.

2.  Mumbai Indians (Rohit Sharma, 1987)

The MI squad, led by the legendary IPL captain Rohit Sharma, might struggle in IPL 2023. The BCCI's decision not to appoint him as captain earlier was the biggest blunder in Indian cricket history. He could have easily been the Novak Djokovic of world cricket. But MI benefited a lot from the BCCI not making him the captain earlier. Believe me! Five IPL titles would not have been possible if he had been made the Indian captain a few years ago. However, the road for Rohit Sharma in the IPL can be dodgy. He has won five IPL titles already. It will be difficult for him to get success going forward in the IPL. Good news for MI will come from Suryakumar Yadav (1990). He can easily win a few IPL titles if he is made the captain. It's incredible how this team already has captaincy options that align with astrological sense. 1990 is the next best year after 1987. This really excites me. The sooner MI's think tank makes Surya Captain, the better it will be for the franchise. Without a doubt, Jasprit Bumrah (1993) is a top choice for MI to win IPL titles in the future as well. This team will remain the greatest T20 franchise ever formed.

Player to watch out for:

Dewald Brevis (2003): Legends are born between 2002-2006. Dewald Brevis can be one of them. He can turn out to be an excellent buy for this franchise going ahead.

3.  Sunrisers Hyderabad (Aiden Markram, 1994)

SRH management has moved away from the captaincies of David Warner and Kane Williamson. They have chosen SA20 captain Aiden to lead the side going forward. This is not the best of choices, even though Aiden has a good horoscope. Aiden has won an ICC U19 tournament in 2014 and the recently concluded inaugural SA20 league. Aiden being the captain of the SA team and Sunrisers Easter Cape in the SA20 league reduces the chances of him winning the IPL. David Warner managed to win the IPL because he never became captain of the Australian cricket team. He used all his powers to win SRH their maiden IPL title. Unless SRH finds someone, who was born in the early 1990s belonging to the Indian cricket team, they will struggle to replicate their 2016 IPL success. Hence, the sun won't rise anymore for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Player to watch out for:

Glenn Phillips (1996): The NZ batter has an incredible horoscope. He can turn out to be a game changer for SRH.

4.  Kolkata Knight Riders (Shreyas Iyer, 1994)

Kolkata Knight Riders, led by charismatic leader Shreyas Iyer, have an extremely high chance of winning the IPL 2023 or future IPLs. He has Pluto in its own house, and Planet X being the 7th lord deeply exalted in the 2nd house will help him win titles as captain for India or KKR. If Shreyas doesn’t captain India, he will use all his powers to bag multiple IPL titles in the future. They might even go past CSK with regard to the number of IPL titles. Shahrukh Khan going through tough times made KKR suffer in the past few years. Announcing Eoin Morgan as captain on an Amavasya day didn’t help either. Shreyas Iyer is injured currently. This will dent the chances of KKR winning the IPL title this year if Shreyas doesn’t come back from injury. If Shakib Al-Hassan (1987) is given the opportunity to captain this team, then they have a decent chance of winning their 3rd IPL title very soon.

Player to watch out for:

Rinku Singh (1997): Rinku Singh has got a birth chart equivalent to Rishabh Pant or Sarfaraz Khan. Expect him to win matches for KKR in tough situations.

5.  Punjab Kings (Shikhar Dhawan, 1985)

The rechristened Punjab Kings will continue to have torrid times in the IPL after making the mistake of appointing Shikhar Dhawan as the captain. Punjab previously had captains like Ravi Ashwin and KL Rahul. They didn’t stick with those captains long enough. Hence, they are still searching for their first title. Punjab needs to appoint Liam Livingstone (1993) as captain in order to have any chance of winning the IPL in the future. I’m currently not seeing any top-quality Indian cricketers in the team who can help this team win its maiden title. Unfortunately, the current situation doesn’t look promising for PBKS fans. Expect this team to participate in every season of the IPL and go back home without any titles against their name for a few more years. Trevor Bayliss as a coach has won a lot of titles already, including the IPL. Hence, this team will have the same fate yet again.

Player to watch out for:

Liam Livingstone (1993): Liam Livingstone has all the planets in the right places to put up a blockbuster show once again in the IPL.

6. Royal Challengers Bangalore (Faf Du Plessis, 1984)

The RCB team has been flattering to deceive in the IPL thus far. This team had Virat, ABD, Gayle, and Starc at one point in time. But the team couldn’t go all the way. The major issue with this team has been wrong captaincy choices, wrong coaching decisions, and wrong team selection over the years. Presently, former SA captain Faf Du Plessis is leading the RCB team. This is the biggest blunder by the management. People born in 1984 have no chance to win the IPL. RCB has roped in Aaron Finch (1986) for the 2020 IPL. But they never chose him for the captaincy position, which was a big blunder in my opinion. Releasing Chris Morris (1986) and getting Glenn Maxwell (1988) was atrocious and hard to digest. The chances of RCB winning IPL titles are nil. RCB needs to reset its strategy. They need to find a top-quality Indian player born in the early 1990s to lead the side. If early 1990s-born Indian players are not up for grabs, then they need to invest in Indian captains born in 2002–2006 to have any realistic chance of winning the IPL in the distant future.

Player to watch out for:

Rajat Patidar (1993): Rajat Patidar will be using all his powers to do well in the IPL considering he won’t be a regular part of the Indian team.

7.  Rajasthan Royals (Sanju Samson, 1994)

RR won the inaugural IPL under the leadership of Shane Warne. He led the team beautifully, which consisted mainly of uncapped Indian players. Things have been tough for the franchise since the 2008 IPL. They reached the finals last year and lost to GT. The team management keeps making repeated errors with the captaincy. They should have chosen Jos Buttler (1990) as the captain last year. He has the finest horoscope among the current generation of players. Even Ravi Ashwin (1986) would have been a great choice as captain for a couple of years. They also hired Joe Root (1990), who will be warming the benches for a major part of this year’s IPL. The team is astrologically well balanced. But due to the wrong captaincy choices, this team's chance of winning the IPL this year looks frail. Sanju Samson (1994) has the potential to win the IPL in the future, provided everything falls into place for him astrologically. But this season, I’m ruling this team out.

Player to watch out for:

Shimron Hetmyer (1996): Shimron Hetmyer might turn out to be a great buy for this team. He has got a good horoscope.

Let’s now discuss the teams who will go on to win the IPL 2023 astrologically.

1.  Lucknow Super Giants (KL Rahul, 1992)

KL Rahul is a talented cricketer who has been a part of the IPL for several years. He has played for different franchises and has been a consistent performer in the league. However, his captaincy has been under scrutiny in the last year or two due to Planet X in debilitation. There is a high chance that it’s going to change very soon. His horoscope is similar to that of Meg Lanning, the Australian women's cricket captain. The team boasts some excellent players astrologically. Also, Andy Flower has been one of the most successful coaches in the T20 circuit currently. Don’t be surprised if this team makes headlines in the upcoming IPLs and rules the IPL in the times to come. Not many new IPL teams have turned out to be successful before. But this team will make its presence felt under the leadership of KL Rahul for another 6–8 years. Astrologically, this management has checked all the boxes. Expect them to reach greater heights very soon.

Players to watch out for:

Deepak Hooda (1995): He has been blowing hot and cold in the IPL so far. Expect him to show his class in this year’s IPL.

2.  Delhi Capitals (David Warner, 1986)

DC will be led by IPL-winning captain David Warner this year in the absence of Rishabh Pant. He has a similar horoscope to Rohit Sharma. Warner never became captain of Australia, which boosted his chances to win the 2016 IPL as captain. He has a high chance to win the IPL in 2023, without any doubt. The DC squad is astrologically balanced, which multiplies the chances of David Warner recreating the IPL 2016 magic. The management has made mistakes in the past by not retaining Gambhir (1981) as captain. Even David Warne (1986) could have been made captain in the early parts of the IPL. But he moved to SRH and became successful. Rishabh Pant (1997) will be their long-term captain once he is back. He is young currently and can only start winning IPL trophies after 2027. Also, Ricky Ponting has achieved a lot as a player and a coach. If they indeed win this year, then Ricky Ponting needs to be released and the DC Think Tank needs to onboard coaches born in the early 1980s.

Player to watch out for:

Sarfaraz Khan (1997): 1997 born Sarfaraz having a great horoscope will have a huge impact with the bat in this year’s IPL.

3.  Gujarat Titans (Hardik Pandya, 1993)

GT winning the IPL 2022 championship was a remarkable achievement for a newly formed team. The team's success was a result of their strong leadership and exceptional performances from players like Rashid Khan, Hardik Pandya and David Miller. Hardik has a strong birth chart to win a few more IPL titles going forward. Whether GT can win back-to-back IPL titles remains to be seen. But this team would definitely win multiple IPL titles without any doubt. Hardik's inability to play all international formats and regular injuries haven’t allowed him to contribute much for India. This makes the Gujarat Titans an even more dangerous team in the future. Hardik has a weak Mars in his chart, which might cause him a lot of injuries every IPL season. Onboarding Kane Williamson (1990) was an excellent choice by the franchise. He can be a great backup captain for the injury-prone Hardik. The franchise needs to add more players with great horoscopes to have continuous success in the IPL going forward.

Players to watch out for:

Abhinav Sadarangani (1994): The Bangalore batsman has an eye-catching birth chart. He can really turn out to be an excellent buy for the franchise.

Conclusion:

Teams like LSG, DC, GT have the highest chances to win IPL 2023.

KKR has chances to win the IPL in 2023 only if Shreyas Iyer returns as captain in the 2nd half.

Chances of RR, RCB, CSK, MI, PBKS and SRH winning the IPL in 2O23 is nil.

  1. Hello All,

    Thanks for reading the article.
    The prediction hasnt passed.
I have analysed where I went wrong and would like to provide the same to my readers.

Honestly speaking, I felt MS Dhoni wouldm't be able to win anymore titles considering he has already achieved whatever was destined.
He has won 3 ICC tournaments and also 4 IPL titles previously.
MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are the 2 captains whom I can never eliminate based on their horoscope because they have one of the best charts in this IPL.

So the question comes as to why did I eliminate both of them?
    1. Rohit Sharma - 2 ICC tournamnets coming up. Hence would save his karma for winning it. Prediction did come true eventually.
    2. MS Dhoni- I eliminated considering he has achieved everything what was meant to be achieved as I meantioned above.

Both are non astrological reasons for elimination and the prediction failed due to this. The non astrological reasons works well when it comes to ICC tournamnets

Now the question will be why dont I include both of them in the probable winning list?
The reason is simple. I cant say 5 teams have a chance to win the IPL. There is no benefit of using astrology for prediction if I predict 5 teams can win.

One thing is for certain, people born in great years like 1981, 1986/87, 1990, 1992-94, 1997, 2002-05 only can go on to win major tournaments.
Dhawan (1985) and Faf Du Plessis (1984) are born in years which wont fetch them a IPL title. The same was observed this edition of the IPL.

Dhoni being 1981 entered this IPL with new set of players as compared to 2021 edition of the IPL. It was a huge change which I missed big time which caused this IPL prediction to fail.

Its safe to say now MS Dhoni has fulfilled his destiny. Its now the time for younger captains to come forward who are born in the early to late 1990's
Expect Hardik Pandya (1993), KL Rahul (1992), Shreyas Iyer(1994), Rishabh pant (1997) to win few IPL's going forward since the road is now clear for them.

The greatest leader ever born in the history of cricket ended up getting a dream farewell before he says goodbye to the game he loved the most.
Congrats to all the CSK fans for winning their 5th IPL silverware.

    Thanks,
    Stalin
